big news.

first (in chrono order): i might have found a place to make limeades in dc. this might not sound like big news, but i am ADDICTED to limeades, and the summertime is when i really crave it. i was without limeades last summer in nyc, and had been unable to locate a limeade distributor here in washington. until today. i went to this candy shop/ice cream place next to where i work. while getting my super-good mint chocolate chip ice cream cone, i inquired about limeades. i was told there isnt enough demand, so they make lemon-limeades, which i bet are not carbonated, but i might be able to become a regular customer and make a special request. so, perhaps limeades can become a regular part of my diet again this summer. [and, if you dont know what a limeade is, my definition is that it is like lemonade, but made with limes and carbonated. basically, it is sprite with sugar and a whole squeezed lime. the most authentic limeades are made with a special sugar syrup made by the fountain which sells the elixir]

news number two: my application for tuition reimbursement for one graphic design class at MICA was approved. therefore, so long as i am enrolled in the class (so long as there was still space left…i dont know yet), i will be taking design twice a week. yippee!!!

its beautiful out. i have plans for tomorrow which is exciting. i’m meeting sequoia for breakfast and hanging out. later i’ll go to a movie and dinner with the family. sometime next week i’ll get to see carl.

eminem is on the radio. my last day in the dorm i was walking down the hall to write a note on julia’s door. the guys next door were listening to eminem loud enough that i had been all day too, through the wall. the girls two doors down from them were also listening. the guys three doors down from them were also listening to eminem. it made me hate him for a while. i had a bad headache.

i went to sheryl’s last night so i could confirm that i don’t have to worry about a lump in my breast. it is a cyst, but i don’t need to worry. apparently i have fibrocystic breast disease. this is neither a surprise or a concern and doesn’t change my perfect boobs. what annoys me is that suggested to fix the problem is reducing caffeine intake, having a vegetarian low fat diet, and taking birth control reduces chances. hmm.

my sister has three friends that came over yesterday. they were going to bike up the coast from so-cal, but one guys knee gave out after a few hundred miles so it switched into a leisurely drive, visiting people on their way up to seattle. currently they are making french toast in the kitchen. some for me. i’m pleased.

time to get on with the day before its completely gone.

i have one more class period with my seniors before they go buh-bye. it’s so weird. in a lot of ways i still feel like it’s the beginning of the year. graduation is such a big deal here in NK, much
bigger than anywhere else i have been. i guess it’s because most of the time being a HS graduate isn’t a given, as it is in most of the places i have dwelled, the places where it was an expectation and you
were the exception if you *didn’t* graduate. kids invite 50, 60 people to the commencement. as a result the NK gym is definitely not big enough and the kids walk and get their diplomas at VCU’s seigel center.
i invited my parents to this year’s spectacle.

i have to go to the DMV this afternoon to get a new license. it seems like i do this at least once a year. at least this time it’s just that i was a little wasted and lost it. last year’s reasoning – left at hookup stranger’s place- was definitely not fun.
i also realize that as soon as i drag my ass to the DMV to get the aforesaid new license, i am sure to find the old one, which is surely hiding out in my bedroom somewhere, most likely under a pile of clothing. i *really* need to clean.

maybe cleaning will be tomorrow, actually. i have the whole day off from all jobs and obligations. lovely. i hope to go out and get rip-roaring tonight and paint the town red, cherry, fuschia. then i figure i can use half of tomorrow recovering, and the other 1/2
cleaning and watching movies. i want to watch ‘o brother’ to see how well it will work with finishing up ‘the odyssey’ with my 9th graders.

ooh! teachers are sneaking out for a dairy queen run and i am IN.

yeah, ive been slack. i know it. im having a bit of trouble readjusting into the working world. and ive been out a lot. last night i went over to davids and watched ‘ocean’s 11′ and tonight im going to see ‘insomnia.’

i have gone in waves with being addicted to instant messanger. i was almost worried how much time i was spending online a couple of months ago, now im barely ever on. my ‘online friends’ have disappeared, roxy is home and never online and im out a lot. and when im home, im doing something else (cleaning, sleeping or writing).

god. matt sent me an aqua song (‘cartoon heroes’). it just came up on my playlist. its awful. i mean truly awful. do not listen to this song. ever. he asked me to listen, so im listening once and deleting. only 2 minutes left.

i think maybe he sent it to me cause its about cartoons. im not sure. i think ‘barbie girl’ might be better even.

i had dreams with girls in them this morning. i think it might have turned into some sort of sex dream except my alarm went off.

i posted my last video for a little while, a night at bogarts. only a week late. eh. youll live.

and the nightmare that is aqua is over.
