but last night was great — it was a good model and someone i enjoyed drawing. she had a very simple body, though with a lot of muscle definition. the reason im excited about these pictures is that i seem to be working towards a new style — geometric still, but with more shading and definition. whee! the second image might be my favorite line drawing ever.

It’s already warm in the house, but I can’t bring myself to turn on the AC in March, especially when we were running the heat two weeks ago. Why do winter and summer linger so, but fall and spring flit past like a daydream? Tonight, the attic fan is running, drawing cool night air in through all the windows, and all the heat out through the attic. What is that smell, that wonderful scent? It’s the magnolia blossoms outside Reed’s windows, tucking us in for the night.
