ghosts and houses

while tripp dreams of ghosts, i dream of houses. (tripp, your ghost dream kept me up. ghosts, even the idea of them, freaks me out. not that i don't believe they could exist. more so that i hope never to see one.) i dream of houses. i am usually inside a strange house, wandering, exploring, snooping. i am often with others, though they are shadows in the dream. most of the houses are unusual in some way. they are missing walls, they are filled with spirits, they are alice in wonderland like, they have small rooms, small doors. i wander, taking the space in. it feels like a hike in the woods, but i am inside a strange house. i can't recall when i first dreamt of a house in this way, but i know it was long ago. i wonder what the dream interpretation of houses is? i like these dreams for the most part. i like the houses too. all of them. they are glamorous, in simple ways. high ceilings are common, victorian features, large windows with scenes of nature. i dreamt of a victorian last night. it was odd in that the decor in only one room really fit the house. the rest of the rooms were more like college dorms. there was even a bed in the bathroom. but there were staircases to place after place, unlimited options and endless places to explore. this too is common. the endlessness of the house. i never find the end of one in a dream session, and i only very rarely return to the same house (though at times i am certain i know the place…past life maybe?) i think i'll stick to dreams of houses…though the ones with spirits inside are a bit much (they always leave me in the dream, screaming but unable to make a sound).

as a ghost side line…did any of you w and m crew know about the house near cw that college kids often rented and was said to be haunted? a few friends of mine lived there senior year and had very, very bizarre tales to tell. the place freaked me out…it still does.
