just got out of my second exam(that i had to preside over, that is). another one in a couple hours. saturday evening at nine pm i'll be finished with the last full-length term. it's an exciting feeling.

the new place rules. i feel like i've been living there forever. i'm also finished reading the stacks of books i brought back with me from the christmas visit. and i'm almost finished with shen-mue 2(for the second time). my recent tracks have taken on a much more summery feel, and i'm hittin a lot more major keys than usual(someone's too happy!).

boxing is going well. the gym itself is across the doorstep basically, and my trainer is this crazy moroccan hephaestus character named mustafa. the gym itself is a nice basement big type place, with chipped paint and dance/aerobic classes on the other half of the space from the weights and bags.

one of my moroccan friends the other day said 'serenity now' when another friend was freaking out, and i laughed a lot. and i asked her if she'd seen that episode… and she just said she'd heard it before. i've almost spent two years now without any movie (or good tv) references in my jokes. the good news is, i can still make fun of people without them.

and i met a bunch of the latest american college kids studying arabic at the cccl, another sit program i believe. we went bar hopping and i was told by almost all of them that i didn't have an american accent — what?!
