so one of the big things i been thinkin about for the last two years was music, specifically me and my jungle. i was puttin tracks together on my laptop the entire time i was gone, and only really had exposure to it during my first winter in madrid. the jungle they played there was really tech-y, and not even tech step, when i say that. no. just detroit techno to a jungle beat. it was alright, but there was no variety in the sets. so i don't really count that as having caught me up at all(though respect to the dj's that ran the party and let me in free every saturday night at arena — and my name is andru, not angel, but it's cool, i guess i got a thick accent on the phone).
i was worried that jungle had gone down the drain in my absence. various random comments made it seem bad. most of the sources were never into it in the first place though, which i didn't think of at the time. and the credible source that said anything slightly negative, pags, just said he hasn't bought any new stuff recently. i blame that on the fact that i haven't been around to get his ass out to the clubs and the record shop.
the point is, i been listening to some sets i downloaded that were recorded in the past year and a half, and this stuff is good. like it's torture listenin to this stuff with the bass up, stuck at home, no way to get anywhere. i need to get out. i need to dance. i need to get a job so i can get more plates and get to work again.
peace
