a collection of reflections by people i have known

i can’t stand people that are talking about the problems of the two party system in america right now. or people who are whining about how the green party needs to make a strong showing right now. i can’t stand people waxing poetic on any of that ideological crap dealing with politics, RIGHT NOW.

all that stuff about changing the system is great. but anyone that has put a moment’s thought into the matter would realize that politics and governments change slowly over time, great spans of time in relation to the attention span of the modern American.

if you hate the two party system, or love the green party, or love whatever other independents, that’s fine. but this election is not the time to take out that angst. if you want bush to win, umm, ok, you’re allowed to want that(for now anyway). but if you don’t want bush to win, you have to vote for kerry.

if you don’t want bush to win, you have to vote for kerry.

if you don’t want bush to win, you have to vote for kerry.

i don’t care which reason you pick for not wanting bush to win(cuz there’s just so darn many, folks, gee golly!!), but if you don’t want him to win, you have to vote for kerry. a vote for anyone else is like a vote for bush.

and, if someone asks you whether you want bush to win, and you reply ‘i dunno’, and shy away when pressed with political probings from friends and family, vote for kerry. voting for a write-in or the green party or me does not make you cool or an individual or a part of the criminal fringe. it makes you an idiot. because honestly, there’s a lot bigger things at stake coming up here in this election than trying to ‘make a statement’. try saving this nation, from within as well as without. cuz whoever’s in charge right now is peeing on it, from within and from without(do some research rather than make up facts and you’ll see the pee stains as well).

peace
