i got a call today from my soon-to-be job(as the plan goes). i was surprised, cuz at first i thought the phone was for the andrew that lives here. i also was surprised cuz i figured i had several more weeks of aimlessness before hearing back.

the apartment i'm staying in is funny. everyone is from richmond. there's five, six counting me, and all richmond people. not all of them grew up there, but they're all connected in some way. strange.

my first few days have been fun, my roommates are nice and helpful, and i've heard back from a job now. i've been reading a lot, interspersed with armored ventures to the outward frostbite-menacing world of snow.

and chrispy showed me the first five installments of band of brothers. they were awesome.
