i'm slowly building things up to make a normal state of things for myself here in new york. like figuring out where to drop off my shirts to get cleaned, as well as my laundry to get washed. i've had two days off total now after five weeks of work. the good news with that is i'm interviewing for a real position next week. the mediocre news is that this past five weeks i've been lucky to get out at ten in the evening. my default setting for getting things done has always been 'do them after work' rather than before, so it's been really hard to get even basic things done around here. but having a place of my own(meaning not crashing) has made a big difference, and progress is easily seen on a day to day basis.

one of the big things on my list of things to do that has fallen to the side is to find a place playin irish traditional music. i know of at least one, but have yet to go to it(due to the crazy schedule). once the weather gets warmer i'm definitely gonna get my hands on my violin, and hopefully move forward on that particular musical track.

ps. seing goose the other night was hilarious, though the bar that chrispy and i met him at was a bit strange/richmondy. richmondy in a strange way.
