man this summer is flying by. as i build a more satisfying routine, i realize the new areas i need to work on. progress in establishing a life for myself here in new york has been slow, but steady. it actually reminds me a lot of my time in morocco, insofar as it just takes time to get to know a place, and to find the things you like. knowing the things you like is easy, it's the finding that's a pain. like i still don't have a place that i know i can go to consistently to hear good music and be around good dancers. i was discussing this with rahsaan last night(first time hanging out in 3 years!!! it was so good to see him again). my only worry about the dancing thing is not that it won't pan out, but that i will have to shell out a significant sum of cash each week just to get the right place.

my martial arts classes are going great. i couldn't be happier. i'm doing jeet kune do, muay thai, and capoeira classes all at the same place, about ten hours worth a week unless i miss a day.

gabriel and lil tyghe and i are gonna be moving into a place in a month or so. we need to start looking at neighborhoods, and i can't decide on what my top preference is, mostly because i'm refusing to think about it, the topic being important/annoying.

in dragonrealms news, tirakseen is back on the mainland, training randomly and waiting for the fest to open up to normal subscribers. ratha is almost the perfect place at the moment, and it sucks not being able to take advantage of all the training possibilities out there, but at the same time i haven't really spent any time on the mainland since my return to the realms post morocco.
