as of yesterday all of my things arrived, via me, in brooklyn. it's good to be back. lil' tyghe is all moved in as well, and is going to his first day of work today. ah, how fast they grow up! haha. it's been almost eight months now since i moved here, and the time has flown. things are going well, though, and i feel like i'm finally shaking off the last vestiges of my culture shock after returning from morocco.

the main theme of this end of summer/beginning of fall is going to be that of reignition. i've slacked off in my music making as well as my writing, and i have slacked off in my apply-to-grad-school area. my creative side needs to focus, as well as my business side. the job is going well, and since i've started martial arts as of the past 3 months things have been falling into place nicely.

i need a mattress.

this is a year that i am looking forward to. i like that i'm 25. and i really like that i've finally taken a proactive stance on living here once again. all the strangenesses of coming back home after two years away are either reconciled or fading. i've got thicker skin, and if anything, i am looking forward to a future adventure with a keen eye and bold confidence. i have some idea of the changes i will undergo, and the return to america that will follow, and will be able to move back and forth more ably. i hope.
