i'm less than two weeks away from my one year anniversary in new york. it's been a big year. it began with my readjustment to life in the states, followed by adjustment to life in nyc. those two processes took about six months combined. i've been not living abroad for 15 months now. i definitely want to travel again. another living-living abroad trip isn't in my near future though, i'll wait another year or three before i do that again; it's as exhausting as it is exciting, which is a whole lotta both.

on a i-had-drinks-with-him-last-week tip, i have returned tripp's chances of moving to new york back to zero. it was around 5% while he was job searching, but his heart isn't really in it. the weird thing is he's beginning to strike me more and more as a left-coaster — tripp don't turn!!
