The Lunette is an 84-page chapbook of seven short plays I’ve written and of which I’m irrationally proud. “Lunette” is a term for the circular frame that holds the neck of someone laying on the guillotine. It also refers to the lens of a camera or of eyeglasses. Accordingly, the plays included examine the perspectives of the condemned and of the condemners. What falls out of focus with each new lens? Plays include “Marking,” “Keeping It,” “The Synthesis of Negative Space (An Intimate Process, from the Outside In),” “The Greater Good,” “Coming Down (Or, When Something Terrible Happens, People Wake Up),” and “Cast Revolution.” Also included: “Some Objectives and Reminders for Writing Plays.”
