yesterday was a day that seems like four. again the financial aid was falling out from under me, and i had to spend the day running around straightening it all out. the red tape at this university is mind boggling. it can only be described as "kafka-esque". essentially i had like 24 hours to come up with $1,700 or move out. so i had to set things straight with housing. by doing that i had to set things straight with financial aid. i also had to get things straight with the bursar's office. all this required me making repeated calls to my lender. my lender hasn't disbursed my funds because they hadn't recieved my application yet. the school hadn't sent it, and they had had it for a week. they thought it was for spring semester, and i hadn't enrolled for classes yet. even though the application was clearly for the entire school year. oh, and i couldn't register for classes, because of the holds on my records, which the loan money was to alleviate. you see the absolutely insane circle i'm in? everything is straight for now. do have confidence this will be resolved timely without any trouble? none whatsoever.
