it seems like i really don't update anymore. i'll try and do better.
i had a fucking terrible soar throat last week which in turn affected my production artwise and my overall attitude and demeanor. so, i tried to to take it easy so i wouldn't get sick, because i had to take my written MA exam on friday, which had me very nervous. the exam was hard, but i'm so glad i did it. the MA exam consists of questions submitted by the members of my committee, and i write essays. all day. for someone who never writes and is a terrible writer this is a herculean task. i don't feel great about what i wrote, but i can't decide if what i wrote was bad or just post exam doubt. kevin who also took an MA exam said this that he has no confidence in what he wrote either. i keep thinking that my committee is going to make me rewrite them. fuck, that would suck.

damn, i just had to switch computers. threw off my train of thought.
i figure i wrote 18 pages on friday. my wrist hurt afterwards. so i got drunk to kill the pain.
this weekend judy pfaff was (is. she's still here) back at tandem again, which is good, because i need the money. however, roscoe scheduled camping for this weekend so a group of us could burn his MFA show. i was able to schedule working at tandem all weekend and camping. camping was something that i wasn't looking forward to, but was a lot of fun. roscoe, kevin, erik, travis, debra, and myself. we pretty much pitched tents and drank. and built a large fire. i can't believe we ran out of beer, but then again considering the crew, i can't believe we didn't bring more. i think that was the first time i had been camping since tripp, eric, and i went in high school. 8 years ago. damn. the downside to all of this working at tandem and camping stuff is that i haven't done any of my own work since wednesday.
hopefully i will get my ass in gear in this next week, and be track for when i return from maine. i can't wait to go to maine in two weeks. it'll be so good to get away.
and finally congratulations linda on your walk. i'm really proud of you.
