alas, my mini vacation is all but over. today i will have lunch with kelly, and buy things that i probably wouldn't have all that much trouble finding in madison. such is vacation. hopefully i will at least have a part time job and an assistantship waiting for me when i get back.

new york was pretty good. i didn't get to really hang out with jeff though, which was a little disappointing, but understandable. everything was hyper expensive. i had the most fun getting drunk with seth and rachael, and their respective significant others.

maine has been okay. the taverna, my bar, pretty much blows now. they have none of the same beers on tap anymore, and the atmosphere has really changed. besides mike and kelly are pretty adamant about not going there anymore. denise went on vacation, and my friends work, so i'm left alone during the day. which is fine. i feel like i did before i left for grad school and had no job. only i can spend what little money i have if i choose. the best part so far was visiting with marcie on monday afternoon and seeing baby sophie. it was so cool. marcie is such a great mom. not that i had my doubts, but it was great to see her all involved with this other person's life.

it is a good little trip, and i would be enjoying it more if i didn't have so much work waiting for me when i get back. the show goes up in a month; there is so much work to be done.
