here's an update on cris bruce i got from my brother when i saw him in new york. i was wanting to pass this along, and it seems appropriate now.

cris was dating a girl that lived across the street from my brother in harrisonburg. cris has become a notorious drunk. essentially drinking all night, passing out, waking up to begin drinking again. consequently, cris has been arrested several times in harrisonburg for drunken disorderly. along with the occasional fight. one time he was arrested on my brother's front lawn. he was knocked out once by one of my brother's roommates who hates him for repeatedly slamming the door. cris didn't recall this evidently. he's been banned from half of the restaurants in harrisonburg as well as most people's residencies. he has also been known to be drunk and groping girls in public, all of this accounts for him being banned on the jmu campus. they had flyers up all over campus with cris's picture on it, stating that if he was sited to alert campus security. they referred to him as "duffle bag man", because he was always carrying a duffle bag. the local paper, and the jmu paper have both run front page stories warning students and residents about him. he called the cops on himself once for beating up his girlfriend. my brother said he slammed her head into the floor because she wouldn't stop hitting him. good to see that he has a moral conscience. apparently it's near impossible to talk to him because he doesn't make any sense. of course that has been a happening for awhile.

i told my brother that he could get some street cred by saying that i was good friends with him in high school.

it's hard to believe ten years ago everyone thought he was the coolest thing since sliced bread. now he has become an annoyance and a burden to everyone he comes in contact with. sad really.
