suggested track: "the last in line" by dio

yesterday i went with russell to an amazing geriatric (of sorts) rock 'n' roll show. dio, scorpions, and deep purple played the milwaukee ampitheater. it rocked. the downside is that dio doesn't play "rainbow in the dark". i told russell he'd be fucking headlining instead of opening if he did. scorpions fucking rocked, especially on "no one like you" and "rock you like a hurricane". deep purple was…old. real old. but were good, and funny because they were so old. and of course rocked everybody's world when they closed with "smoke on the water". all in all, it was a good time. the people watching was better than anything you could ever imagine. so many mullets. so, so many people way past their prime. very entertaining.

our opening on saturday went well too. we actually put up a pretty good show. a lot of it impromptu, and a lot of drawing on the walls. it was fun. hopefully i won't be in a show for the rest of the summer. i need to make more work.

unfortunately, i cannot attend any going away party as i will most likely be in maine that week. family reunion. i'm not sure how i feel about it. the reunion that is. i guess i'll just have to be drunk.
