i saw "bowling for columbine" the other night. it was very good. it cuts pretty deep too. i highly recommend. although, i will disagree with tripp in saying that it was life changing. it wasn't. not even close. the more i think about it, i don't think that art can be life changing. it never has been for me. and i don't see how it could be. i just don't see it as one of art's functions. if art even has a function. but i digress… it didn't make me hate charlton heston more, or less for that matter. it just reconfirmed my contempt for the man ("you want ME to apologize?"). i couldn't believe the elitism and racism the man has. and his notion of history is a little skewed to say the least. i believe it is a film every american should see. it made me want to move to canada though. i've always kind of wanted to, regardless of how much i make fun of canada, because i was always curios about the country. it made me want to check it out a little more.
i had something else i wanted to talk about, but i can't remember . couldn't have been that important, right?
