saw lord of the rings II: the search for spock last night. it was good. worth my money. not great. it made me want to see the first one again, and has me waiting on the next installment. so i guess that is the sign of a pretty good film. although they did play up the hamminess a little bit, but not enough to really detract from the film.

i have been in job search hell for just about a week now. i have to get these job applications done and out by tomorrow. this is the worst thing ever. doing all this shit work, pulling all this written crap together, knowing that in all honesty, i don't have a chance in hell of getting these jobs. i spent all last weekend going through and organizing and labeling over two hundred slides. and i've spent all of this week writing a cv, cover letter, teaching philosophy, artist statement, gathering references, taking more slides, etc. it just sucks. i haven't done any studio work in a week, and that is driving crazy. i hate it. tomorrow it will be over and done with, and i am going to get so wasted tomorrow night.
