suggested track "the clenching dawn of man" by summer dying

seattle was great. especially weather wise. 75 degrees, not a speck of humidity, not a cloud in the sky, a slight breeze. just incredible. weather here in madison is humid as fuck. i hate august here. rachel and i were very busy running around visiting people, and staying with different people every night. the weather was so nice i really didn't want to come back. we saw a bunch of shows at galleries that were mostly mediocre. the henry art center was good though. there was a james turrell exhibit, as well as show titled "crosscurrents at the 21st century". it was essentially highlights from some collection of all young, hot artists essentially. we saw some yoshitama nara statues that rachel loved, takashi murikami, laylah ali, and a host of others. there were two other exhibitions that were nice but not great there. it was the best art experience i had there. we arrived and were picked up by russell and amanda, and went straight to safeco field to see the mariners and red sox game. unfortunately the sox lost, but it was still a good game, and it's the second time this summer i got to see the red sox away from fenway. i was sporting my new red sox hat that i got for my birthday, so that's all that really mattered. the hat kicks ass by the way. it's a custom made replica of the 1931 red sox travel hat. pretty sweet.

now that i'm back i'm overwhelmed. i'm absolutely broke. i don't get paid for teaching until october, and finding a job in this town is murder. it really sucks. i've also had a sore throat for about 11 days or so. it hasn't moved or changed, but this can't be good. i definitely have a gland or tonsil that is infected or something. it's at the very least swollen. but i have no insurance or money, so this poses a problem. i'll just have to keep an eye on it. i also need to help rachel move at the end of this week, move out of my studio, and get everything ready for my class. this week is going to suck.
