i like school

it's been awhile. i can't help it. i don't like to write. but i am trying.

okay… teaching. i like it. i like devising assignments and answering questions and preparing lectures and doing demos. all of it. i was nervous that i would be an awful teacher and hate it, but i don't. i generally enjoy going to class. and the university gave me a studio. which is awesome, because now i have a free studio. it's smaller and crappier than the one i used to have, but it's free, and better than nothing. besides, moving studios helped me get rid of a lot of clutter. and organize and wrap all of my paintings. i started making drawings and prints and of course this makes me very happy. but i still haven't found a part time job. employers are pretty sceptical about hiring someone for only a few hours a week that already has a job and two masters degrees. but on the flip side, i'm not being very aggressive in my job search. the fact that i know i have a paycheck coming makes me a little lazy.
