a collection of reflections by people i have known

i can only assume what tripp is writing about in his latest post. and if i’m right, then i feel your pain. having a blog online most definitely limits what you are able to say and write. if you writing in your personal diary, the sky is the limit. if someone finds it and reads things that you possibly did not want them to find, you have a right to be angry as you did not put it out there for them to read. hence, having an online blog on the otherhand presents a complete different set of circumstances because it is absolutely public for the world to see. it is therefore never a true diary. we self-censor and we think twice about who may read what we just wrote before we hit that ‘publish’ button. may it be co-workers, girlfriends, wives, friends, etc. i myself have had a hard time dealing with this. there are of course ways around this if you really want to put shit out there, you could post anonymously, but not really. if you post too many details, sooner or later someone will read it. and the consequences are limitless. writing for a blog online sometimes feels like driving a ferrari in a school zone.
