It's been a long time, been a long time, been a lonely lonely time

My post title convention is getting to be a big pain in the ass. Sometimes I dont' post just because I can't come up with good applicable lyrics for the title. Plus I've been promising Tripp a post to index and identify all the songs that have been titles. I looked over the list the other day and realized there were a couple posts I couldn't remember the song I qoted.

Anyway lots has happened over the past couple weeks that is worth clueing people in on. The biggest item is my sister who recently became engaged. She and Dan have been dating for a few years now so it's not a big surprise, but I'm really happy for her. She's the most thoughtful person I know and it's my general feeling that people like that deserve happiness. So congrats Mary (even though I don't think she reads this).

Other news: I just booked tickets for London from November 5th through 12th. I'm a bit bummed that I'm not going with Tripp and Andru since it's something we've discussed in pseudo-mythical terms (think clubs, raves, and record stores), but it's just never come together. This trip is more a target of opportunity. I'm going with Jason and Justin and we're staying at Chris Campbell's flat for the duration of our stay.

Jason made friends with Chris several years ago in Philly. Chris was living there and working as a pornographer (no joke - he worked at some porn website), but he's originally from England and has recently moved back. Since he moved he extended an invitation to Jason, and then Justin, and then eventually me to come visit. So $317 to Virgin Atlantic later and it's actually going to be happening.

The agenda will be a bit different than the beat binge that Tripp, Andru and I had been planning, but I'm sure I'll still get in some time at Black Market Records and I'm definitely doing some research on what parties are bumping that week. Mostly though it will be more traditional tourism (the WWII allied command center, some museums, Tower of London, etc.) and more traditional English deabauchery (pubs and pints). So as Justin says, if you hear about some diplomatic incidents in England you'll know who to blame.
