I'm only nineteen but my mind is old - and when things get for real my warm heart turns cold

Misleading title, but the only non-cheesy age referring lyric I could think of on short notice. Actually I'm 28 today and what with the snow and driving winds it's cold enough in NYC today without throwing my heart into the equation. I mostly hate cold weather, but today I'm kind of digging the snowfall and the fact that it's the rest of my family that has to put up with it to come see me. I'm meeting the immediate family for drinks at Fred's across the street in 15 minutes and then for dinner around the corner at the Neptune Room which supposedly has some decent seafood.
I ran home to do some quick straightening up of the apartment before they arrived (in case they want to drop it) and it's now semi-presentable. Whew.
In the last week or so, several of you sent Christmas and/or Birthday greetings that were really touching. One day I'll be organized enough to return such sentiments, keep track of things like other peoples birthdates, send out cards, behave, in short, like an actual participating member of society. In the meantime I appreciate everyone putting up with my disorganized ass for the last 28 years, you all make it worth living. One love and Merry Xmass out to all my posse.
