The restaurant industry: A case study on diminishing intelligence

I have come to realize that in my years as a restaurant manager I haven't had much need, or even opportunity, to think. Don't get me wrong, you do have to have a reasonable level of intelligence to do the job itself, and creativity is often needed to solve problems and make improvements, but on a general everyday basis, there isn't much call for serious thought. Which is why I love Tripp's website. I feel that I need some sort of commitment to actually sitting down and recording my thoughts, which will in turn force me to have some on a regular basis, something which I sometimes skip due to the monotony of my job. So, in an unprecedented (since Feb. 13th) move Tripp has been kind enough to add someone to the list who is a sibling of someone already posting. So thank you Tripp. I have known Tripp for a long time. One of my first memories of him is actually babysitting for Tripp and Carter one time. I still don't know why since I'm only around six months older than him, but needless to say, we go way back. I don't want this to get too long and I feel like I'm getting ready to start rambling, so I'll save the rest for future posts. This website does something that most don't, it gives you a reason to come back, and I feel lucky to be a part of it.
