Every action has an equal and opposite larceny opportunity

My car has recently lost the ability to be unlocked from the outside driver-side door lock. This basically means that I have to unlock the car from the passenger side and then reach across the car to unlock the door from the inside.

Which sucks.

This has basically caused me to adopt a policy of leaving my door unlocked when at work or other well known (to me) places, which hasn't worked out too bad, except for the fact that an unidentified Applebee's patron or employee has simultaneously adopted a policy of owning all of my cd's.

Which also sucks.

In retrospect, however, I really can't say that I'm as pissed off or sad as I would've thought. There is, after all, absolutely no one that I can possibly blame but myself, and it has also raised an interesting question:

If you had to create a cd collection from scratch, right now, on a limited budget, where would you start?

I can't seem to help thinking of this as a refreshing way to limit myself to re-purchasing only the music that has been most important to me, while also opening myself to trying new things.

So I submit to you, loyal madeofglass readers and posters, a plea for help. I would like nothing more than to hear your top picks for starting the ultimate music collection. Any type of music, whatever you think is important to hear. Just drop me an e-mail and I'll be sure to check it out. Also, anything that I do pick out of any suggestions that I recieve will be mentioned in a future post, with full credit to whoever tipped me off. So thank you in advance for helping me with this, if anyone even reads this post in the first place, and I look forward to hearing from you.
