Oh gotta see, gotta know right now

I found out yesterday that I'm going to be an uncle. My sister called me up with the good news. I'm so so happy for her. She's been wanting to have children for a long time, and I'm glad it's finally working out for her. And it looks like it could be twins, but that's not official yet.

My brother told me he was going to be a better uncle than me because he was going to spoil the kid with gifts. I told him to save his money for all the illegitimate children he probably has running around.

I talked to my mom soon after I talked to my sister, and she told me the cool story of how she found out the news. She was at Best Buy purchasing gifts. It was actually the first time she'd even been in a Best Buy. She was kind of intimidated because she isn't very tech-savvy and had heard that the service was less than desirable. But anyways, she's shopping and my sister calls my mom's cell phone. She asked, barely choking down tears, "Mom, do you still want to be a grandma?"

My mom starts to cry tears of joy, and the woman behind the counter asks, "Baby?" My mom says yes, and the salesperson asks, "Boy or girl?" My mom, of course, doesn't know, and tells her that she just found out her daughter is pregnant. The saleswoman, along with a couple other employees, hug my mom. In Best Buy. Weird. But cool.

So around my next birthday there's going to be a new addition to my family. I can't wait.
