the latest coincidence:

walked into the dana street roasting company, a pretty good coffeeshop downtown, and heard the sounds of black heart procession's amore del tropico. i got that album from will, very early on, when we first met at usc. went to see their show at the knitting factory. (and that's where we first encountered pleaseeasaur…) now that alone is not so surprising, the band isn't that obscure. but the stange part is that i just talked to will a couple days ago about needing some new music and he informed me that black heart has a fresh album coming up for release.

okay. that is a minor coincidence i admit. even adding the infrequency that i talk with will doesn't particularly impress. perhaps the news of their impending album defuses it completely. so i sat down with my coffee and listened to the rest of the album as i worked. once it was over, i had to fill my ears with something, so i plugged in my ipod and hit shuffle. guess what? black heart procession comes on. 1 of 5223 songs. whoa. the song was 'Till We Have to Say Goodbye' from the album 'Three'.

meaningful?

i'm paying attention to the patterns.
