Or LHC for short.
Also, the other LHC, the Large Hadron Collider in CERN, went online today.
This site amused me: http://www.hasthelargehadroncolliderdestroyedtheworldyet.com
Read the page source for more geek humor.
Then I stumbled upon the plot of Dan Brown's Angels & Demons, because he staged some of the book around at the LHC site:
"The story involves a conflict between an ancient group, the Illuminati, and the Roman Catholic Church. A film adaptation is due for release on May 15, 2009. The plot follows Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, as he tries to stop what seems to be the Illuminati, a legendary secret society, from destroying the Vatican City with the newly-discovered power of antimatter."
What?
According to wikipedia this is book's "Premise":
"Robert Langdon is summoned by CERN to investigate a murder victim, branded with the Illuminati ambigram, leading him to discover the cult's scheme to murder four cardinals and destroy St. Peter's Basilica during a papal conclave using antimatter."
I am still at work so it's taking a significant energy exertion to hold in the laughter.

I didn't know I had to read this book. However, I do. This is clear. In fact, I might need to start a bookclub for this.
Seriously.
Also: Why would a super secret organization brand anyone? Members or victims? That's the kind of crap that leads to, well the end of your secret for one thing.
And hey, I've got an idea, if your organization is so powerful, then dispose of the fucking body. If the mafia can do it then so can the fricking Illuminati.
Geez.
who is this laundry hamper cat? he is very cute.
Tripp, forget about a bookclub - just get with the Good Reads already, sheesh.
I'm on it; I'm just not using it enough. I have to get faster at finishing books before it will be super valuable to me.
Rachael: I found the laundry hamper cat pic through a google search after I came up with the term. So nice to know that whatever my brain comes up with, there is an image for it on the internet already.
And for some that had never entered my mind: 2 girls, 1 cup.
Thank you and good night.
