Talked to Matt via ship phone

This is Kady. I'm afraid I will be posting for Matt a lot during this deployment. Sometimes with excerpts from his letters and other times just with updates.

I talked with Matt just now. That was almost as painful as the day he left. We've talked before since he's been gone (his cell worked in Hawaii) but this was different. There was a line of guys behind him waiting for the phone and no privacy. So as you can imagine it's hard for him to talk freely. He did a good job though. He's pretty miserable. I probably don't cheer him up much since I'm just as miserable. We'll do our best, though.
