For Sale - Heckel bassoon bocal, silver-plated, CD 2 made out of 'Z' (hard) nickel-silver metal.

Purchased at the Heckel factory in Wiesbaden in 2001 and chosen by me from a large number of bocals, played professionally on a late 12K Heckel bassoon in the Richmond and Virginia Symphony Orchestras - I won my job in the RSO with this bocal. Outfitted with the wonderful BassoonBoost cork replacement - this does make a big difference and is a great option for every bocal. I am selling because my many years of bocal hunting have resulted in a slightly better fit for my situation - this is a great bocal, especially, based upon my experience, for those instruments and reed/air column combinations requiring a nicely-pitched middle and low register with a very solid pp response such as is required in most orchestral playing while still singing nicely throughout the horn.
