Funny, isn't it, the yin yang relationship of the two holidays?
Hi Matthew,
In your search for a contra, you may wish to consider one of the magnificent contras I have for sale. One is a Mollenhauer from 1938 in impeccable condition. Just overhauled and re-plated (silver) by Keith Bowen. Keith says this Mollenhauer is the single best example he has ever played: "This is the Heckel 8000 series of Mollenhauer contras." I also have a 1970 Puchner model 28 with extra keywork in pristine condition. Also an impeccable player. The scale and response for both contras phenomenal.
With best wishes,
Peter
Thanks, Peter. The old Mollenhauer is probably not all that different from what I play in the RSO.
I appreciate the comment, but I think I am after a newer model than either of the two horns you are selling.
Best,
