Apparently, some people feel that it's wrong for women in video games (Say, Tekken 4, for instance) to get beaten up by men. Sounds like equality to me.

Bush and Blair get nominated for Noble Peace Prize. I have a pretty good feeling about this one. They may just beat out Robert Mugabe.

Recommended: Devil in the White City, by Erik Larson. It's about the Chicago World's Fair and the serial killer who used it to lure women. All true and painstakingly researched. Split in alternating chapters between the Fair's builders and the killer, both are equally fascinating.

Rushing to Paradise by JG Ballard. Imagine Lord of the Flies with more feminists. I keep hearing that it's no good compared to his other works. I wouldn't know, I liked it.

The King of Comedy (DVD). Scorsese, DeNiro.

Time Out (DVD) Fired business man can't tell his family, so hangs out in offices and tries to get his friends into investment scams. One of the best movies I've seen in a while.

The title of this post is an actual quote from Geraldo Rivera on his wedding to a girl less than half his age in a Reform Synagogue. Rest assured, even though he may not have been too involved since confirmation, he plans to take "this whole Judaism thing seriously."
