Good music, on the other hand:
Stinking Lizaveta played Alley Katz on Wednesday night. It was about eight years to the day that I saw them play for the first time at the Flood Zone. Counting myself and the two people I was with, there were about three people in the audience. Ol' Stinky's probably the only band from way back then that I both still listen to and are still together.
They still know how to put on a show, too. They pick a good mix from all their albums as well as the new stuff, they start strong, meander into slower stuff in the middle and come back for solid close. The guitarist goes running around the audience and climbing on things on stage, always with a look of rapture on his face, like he's tapped into rock's Platonic form. One of history's greatest bands.
