AOL Admits It's a Fucking Joke

The message of the new AOL commercial for 9.0 "Optimized" is sure, the last 8 and half (counting 9.0 non-optimized) versions were crap, but give this one a try anyway. It's free! …And we're desperate. Apparently, someone in marketing decided it was worth paying both Jerry Stiller and Snoop Dogg to hawk a product which the company admits is only valuable for making gaudy, kitshcy wall art.

Here's an issue I really don't care about: gay marriage in Massachusettes. My only question is, do I have to go to the wedding? No? Then I don't give a shit. I really can't get too upset that consenting adults want to be treated like consenting adults. What, am I supposed to fret that it's going to ruin the sanctity of marriage? The divorce rate's somewhere around two-thirds. We didn't need gay people to fuck that up.

Or should I be offended about this new assault on the values of this great Christian nation? After all, if Judge Roy Moore taught us one thing, it's that only the Ten Commandments saved the United States from the humilation and shame of being the first society in the history of human beings being organized enough to consider themselves a society to think murder is okey-dokey. And let's not forget the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights: "Congress shalt make no law respecting the worship of other gods before me." So, you can see why your personal beliefs should be able to dictate civil ceremonies.
