I've been sick all weekend, and just barely got well enough to make it to the polls.  I think it was the Republicans that wanted to stop me from voting down their "Fuck the Queers" Amendment.

Obviously, I don't believe my cold was due to any right-wing conspiracy, but as far as this election goes,  it'd be a pretty mild accusation.  Click here for details on allegations and actual events that have been popping throughout the day.  

Update: the day after

Does it seem ironic that the anti-gay crowd passed an amendment that's likely to turn around and fuck us all in the ass?  Or am I just stretching a metaphor, the way our assholes will be stretched when we learn the hard way about the unintended consequences of this grotesque and bigoted amendment?

And all this for an abstract idea about the "sanctity of marriage" that exists only in your head.
