in a drunken debate at the party on saturday, jenny and i argued over whether laura ingalls had a brother. the wager was for manicures. after googling some research, i determined that we were both correct and that i, as a book purist and she as the tv-holic, had different versions of 'little house on the prairie' we were recollecting. on tv, ma and pa ingalls adopted a boy named albert, who later 1) burns down the school for the blind 2) becomes a morphine addict, and 3) kills mary's baby. what the —-! talk about jumping the shark.
today in the mail i received the cherry-print hello kitty undies i had put on my amazon wishlist last week. apparently, i have no problem receiving gifts of underwear from certain married men. ha! (ps - it was just quinn.)
i was surprised to find this morning that i miss howard stern. he had become a part of my little work commute each morning. friday was his last day on regular radio before moving to satellite, and i didn't think i cared too much. but enduring about three minutes of his asinine temporary replacement on KROQ, i lamented what is lost and switched quickly back over to miss jones on hot 97. in happier radio news, i realized today that i can stream WJFK from the don and mike website and listen to them in the afternoons. ah, the reunion (even if they were running 'best of' bits).
i'm seriously considering joing the food co-op in my neighborhood - it's the biggest in the whole country! does this make me a hippie?
