i'm all spazzy on a thursday afternoon, wishing i could fast forward just 24 hours and be well into the weekend. i'm heading to VA yet again tomorrow, but will hang out with my dad in fairfax for a bit first, and then probably stay the night with cheri in richmond and get in some much needed girltime and dancing. as much as i have slagged tobacco company in the past (even when i was going there twice a week), i so miss going out dancing. so i've got pent-up energy ready to go already. then i'll hopefully see NK people saturday, and of course todd, so right now everything just feels right as rain. if only i could stave off what feels like the inevitable usual mopedown when i have to leave and come back here. it gives nyc such a bad rap for me to get so sad returning, but it really isn't anything personal. i do love it here, really. well. most of the time, at least.

i want to see united 93 this weekend. i know a lot of people disagree with films being made about 9/11, but being in ny has changed my perspective somehow. it might seem strange to say, but i don't want people to forget what happened on september 11, and i worry that's already happening to a degree.

this post is all over the place, and i will keep that going by sharing this picture of allie, who surely must be the most beautiful baby in the world.
