'stick your head in gravy'

no matter how much ypu dig your job, waking up early sucks. and i have had a late ephiphany that as long as i am in teaching, i am stuck with waking up early. jkdsfjhkdfgh.

a new kindergarten teacher has been hired, so today is my last day with the wee little ones. i've already grown quite accustomed and attached to 'my' class, so i'm dreading starting my real job tomorrow. the kids i will be working with are 4th and 5th graders, and after my time with the 5- and 6-year olds, the elementary school upperclassmen seem so old.

i can't email at work for the first time, unless i decide to forward my hotmail account to the school email server, which we are allowed and encouraged to do. but i'm not actually sure there's time in my uber-structured schedule to play online, which is a big adjustment, too. i feel really out of touch with everyone who is not here. which i guess is, well, everyone except todd. and i am still waiting to make those new BFFs. wish they'd show themselves already.
