'big boy toys'

diesel gets neutered tomorrow.  our little boy is all grown up!  todd is worried that he will come back from the vet 'a different dog.'  i just want him to not want to run out into the street when he sees a dog/person he is interested in, not display his little pink penis as prominently, and cut down dramatically on humping gus's legs, head, and tail.  as my father says, we shall see.

this weekend we are noVa bound for quinn and wendy's baby shower / housewarming / kegger / house party.  i am not sure what the appropriate gift is for this particular occasion.  for the baby i have already purchased (not including previous other pre-birth gifts already sent, me being me) a curious george treasury of stories and the most adorable wee little adidas faux soft little shell toe booties and teeny tiny timberland booties.

i figure just because you're a newborn doesn't mean you shouldn't look fly from the get-go.  and i really hope at the party wendy is sporting some of the pregnancy temporary tattoos i sent.
