yeah, so.
i have to admit it.
i now own tony little's gazelle edge trainer. yeah, the guy on tv. the one with the ponytail. and the informercial. though to be fair i believe him to be slightly more innocuous than that other fitness guy on tv, who *really* skeeves me out.
anyway.
the gazelle is my christmas present from my dad. for gift-giving occasions, my father basically tells me an amount he'll spend, and then i get my own stuff. it's a little anti-climatic, but i appreciate his generosity and everything, so…
i've got a Y membership here but it's a little less easy than it used to be to get to the gym with zane with us now. so i figured i could use something other than a workout video to help keep me motivated when i'm exercising at home. the gazelle is pretty inexpensive and i have heard good things about it, so, here it is.
i worked out on it for an hour yesterday with mixed feelings. i kept up what i thought was a decent pace but didn't feel really exerted afterward. i like to be pretty damn sweaty after an hour of cardio or else i don't feel like i did anything, you know?
but today, oh today. i didn't realize i'd been gimping about a little at school 'til a friend mentioned it and my left knee feels a little fuckity. i've also got a weird pain i couldn't really identify, which my friend diagnosed as my *groin*. that freaks me out a little; groin definitely sounds masculine to me. but my calves and thighs are a nice, post-good-workout sore/tight, and the level of tiredness i can feel in my muscles jives well with a challenging workout. so i'm not exactly sure what the bottom line is on this one, not quite yet.
to admit i may have pulled my groin on my tony little gazelle glider is a bit humbling, to say the least.
