Life: New Year's Resolutions

So, I thought I'd take a gander at my resolutions for 2006 and see how I did this past year. This should be good for embarassment…
- Drink less soda.
- Eat more fruits and vegetables.
- Lose 5lbs. (starting at 211lbs)
- Run 8 miles in 60 minutes.
- Remember that I’m not always right, even if I think I am.
- Get more sleep.
- Finish the drawers for the built-in.
- Write more.
Hmm. And the results are:
- Drank more, then less, then more, then less. Result: wash
- Check! Yay me.
- Well, I was down 5 pounds in September for the big 24-hour race I did (Yay). (Which I forgot to write about…see #8). But then I ballooned back up over Thanksgiving.(poo)
- I managed 7.53 in an hour, but never got to 8mph. Boo.
- Got better at this, but there's room for improvement.
- Lessee…new baby, bigger projects. Nope. Totally missed this one.
- *shudder* Fuck.
- I did indeed write more. Got published a few times, though I probably need to be a bit more dilligent here, no?
Whew. I suppose I could regift my resolutions from last year and give them to myself for this year. Sigh.
Well, before I go, two small bits of kvetching. 1. I was sitting in the airport today and CNN is always on in every airport, seemingly. This in and of itself is not such a big deal. The problem arises in that every time I hear Nancy Grace's voice, I vomit inside my mouth a little bit. Ugh. What a toad. 2. And not nearly so bad, but I find the new search for the MoG site to be a little eh. Y'know? And how can a view a person's list of entries by title only, so I don't have to click through pages and pages to get to old posts? Again, just kvetching. Have a good new year everybody, and here's hoping you don't get heckled by an angry mob during your execution any time soon.
