unsuccessful for a change

i find tripp's small inaccuracies in his japan posts funny. (ie. that i told him there was mercury in his deoderant. i thought ban had aluminum, although i'm not sure if it actually does. and that akihabra should be akihabara.) still, its wonderful having such a full account of our adventures. i think there is not quite enough emphasis on the feet aching and how many hours a day we were on our feet. i think the sense that in certain times we pulled each other in different directions due to our different interests is accurate– and we saw so much more that way than we would have if we'd gone with someone who had the some intentions.

i have a rant to put up here later about an unrelated subject but it will wait.
