love is better than your 9 to 5

i've gotten a lot of family the last few days.

it was granny's birthday part over the weekend so i went back down to LA where i was able to indulge in some nice family time. my parents were down, and it was wonderful to see them but a bit of a tease since it was such a short time. thats how it always is, really.

back in high school missy and i used to imagine some huge house where we would live (of course) and everytime we thought of someone cool, we'd add them to the list of people also living in the house. i'm not sure i could really handle being in a house with ALL of my family, but i would really like it if everyone was closer together at least.

in addition to seeing folks, i had phone calls with a cousin and an uncle. i always think it would be nice to talk to people more but never seem to do so. it was a move in the right direction anyway.

we're moving on saturday into an apartment of our very own. i'm looking forward to it, but don't quite feel like i have energy to move at the moment. really i'm just in the mood to be curled up with a book and some tea.
