i walked away from my desk at work, only to return with the instant message from my friend meg:
"i am just a few hours off the plane from 7 days in paris (pics to come) and had to tell you about a dream i had while there - some friends of mine and I were at my parents house and for some reason were going to blow up a small bomb in the downstqirs bathroom. we had just lit the fuse and were counting down "6, 5, 4″ and at about "4″ your head pops in the bathroom window (which was down) - i didn't know you were there even - and we were waving and yelling at you and you figured it out and jumped out of the room at like "1″. that's when i woke myself up out of the dream. i think you made it though but you prob got real fucked up, sorry."
perhaps i shouldnt be, but im pretty amused. it still amazing to me that i have direct impact on other people. im 29 years old and this still surprises me? im so weird.

beastie boys, from 1983 to 2006, in pictures
this is cool — a picture a year. i'm impressed they have lasted so long, though i fear they are in danger of becoming an institution now. 'license to ill' was fifth grade for me — i almost can't remember a world without the beasties in it.
Student tries to spend spring break at Wal-Mart
the thing that makes me saddest about this is that i didn't think to do it first. and how sick am i that i want to try this anyway?

this is what happens when technology falls into the wrong hands. and no, i dont mean the eternally loading flash window. i mean the movie that plays afterwards.
