kottke linked to an article on how impossible it is becoming to tell the difference between the 20 year olds and the 40 year olds. and i sat here at work skimming it and i realized i am rapidly moving into this world.

people still card me. they still tell me i look 24 or younger. i just left a job at a game company in los angeles where i was one of the older developers, where guys came in with tats and piercings and holey t-shirts. i wear adias to work everyday. i still only shave twice a week at most.

let's talk music. let's not, actually. the point is made. im old and yet im still acting like im 6 or 8 years younger than i am.

i thought i had a bigger point than that. nuts.

in other news, we have the apartment all signed and paid for. i have an address for the next 6 months. this is good.

we move on sat.

also, it has rained a lot here since we got here.

drop shadows not bombs
hipster, for sure. but entertaining. in a design nerd sense.

Mavis Beacon ate my brain!
typing of the dead is fantastic. and i want. for the mac. since i have it for the dreamcast. but i cant run it over the network. i dream of whole tournies with this game over the network. and my #1 challenger would be kurt, since he loves this game

The Typography of Girls' Asses
man i hate shorts with words on them. im glad to see someone else doesnt understand it. yes, its an old article, but its still amusing. rip words on asses. you wont be missed.

Textile architecture (we make money not art)
carter, this reminds me of you. go figure. i want clothe brick walls! this seems really cool and almost practical even.

Yahoo Mail vs. Gmail: Contrasting Ideas About Web Application Design
nothing really new here, just a leftover link from last week. the most interesting part is: "At the same time I think Google ought to rethink its apparent disregard for user interface…"

10 minutes later and will im's me with the link above. we both agree that its a funny article, but more in the 'yeah, so its true' sense then anything actually worthwhile in it. which is exactly why, when i tried to comment on it, i realized i wasnt saying anything.

'wow, it sure is surprising to realize that technologies and lifestyles are changing! that's so unique!' can you sense my sarcasm? i should start writing articles like this, that point out the obvious without actually saying anything.

i got away and come back and people have posted! i always gets excited when there is a flurry of posting in a 6 or 8 hour stretch and today was one of those days.

petunia will hate me for saying it, but lost this evening kicked ass. can i get an amen andru? and honestly — who here on the site is watching it? i know andru, roxy, kurt and i are. petunia has seen season 1. i dont think carter is. or mike. so raise your hand if you are. just for my own knowledge.
