my 30th birthday

right, so i turned 30 a week ago. and, for the life of me, i wasnt sure what you do on a 30th. a trip to nyc got canned, a trip to la seemed complicated. so hanging out in mountain view it was.
the plan became drinks and barbque at kurts, with brinker coming over when he got off work.

(this picture was taken right with this one by kurt.)

brinker was appointed grillmaster, due to my already having a few drinks and him being hungry. while it ended up working ok, it was perhaps a dangerous move.

me with my cake. and no, i didnt get all my candles blown out. no wishes for me this year it seems. i think thats what happens when you are old.
that was followed by puttputt, where i downed another beer of the worst kind and set out on the course.

the course is right next to the highway, so i kept threatening to throw balls onto the road. i didnt, but the pictures were at least amusing.
afterwards, brinker bailed and the 3 of us decided to hit a strip club. sadly, it was 1.30am and the cover was still 20 bucks — for like 20 minutes. just not worth it. so we headed down castro street in mountain view, which has many of the bars on it.
the first, molly mcghees, wanted us to drop a 5 buck cover even though we had 15 minutes before last call.
so we ended up a the pizza place down the street and kicked back a few beers. it was a little odd, the people there and such, but a pleasant, mostly empty bar.
so i guess thats the kind of thing you do on your 30th. if youre tripp.
