couple of things:

1. yesterday marked the day that i reached 47,000 words on my latest novel. this is book number 3, for those of you keeping track. my first novel was 55k, the second is 75k. i’m over the 2/3 mark with this latest one. that’s pretty cool. i’m almost ready to start talking about it, finally. according to my meager records, i started it right after christmas last year. with luck, ill finish my first draft within the year window.

2. the site. i’m still tweaking it. today i threw the ‘last updated’ back up along with links to tags. ill prob tweak the font to be the ‘correct’ mog font (verdana) this afternoon. the jury is still out on the changes. most of the reactions have been negative though.

just to be clear: the design changed and i am willing to concede its not awesome. its easy to change. the front page changed — instead of my latest post, it lists the last 25 from everyone. other than those 2 changes, not much has happened. all the urls still fire as they always have.

oh, and there are comments. some people like them, some don’t. i have some ideas on how to tweak that, but i haven’t had time to really work on it.

seriously, tell me what you like and don’t. i want it to be most useful for you. sketches, photoshop files, colors, how the site functions, links you want to use…just speak up. believe it or not, im listening. a lot. i’m just moving slowly.

3. finally: vote. vote vote vote. i’m sure i don’t have to tell you this. and if i do, then i doubt me saying it to you will make a difference. but it’s really really important this time around. then, hopefully, tonight, we can crack open a bottle and toast to some good news.
