real fast, cause these ‘real’ posts are much more interesting to me than a silly link:
if you enjoyed the diplo essential mix from a couple of months ago, check out the streetlife djs essential mix from friday night. a little tunage to help the hump day pass faster.
when your tracklisting includes: public enemy, the prodigy, n-joi, justice, michael jackson, daft punk, queens of the stone age, groove armada, size 9, eric b and rakim, hot chip, primal scream, lil louis, leftfield and slam — you’re doing something right.
(oh and bonus time — if you dig 90s electronic, check out audio.out. right now, he has re-posted 6 months worth of tracks — tasty treats if you dig english electronic music. (think leftfield, orbital, orb, pwei, red snapper, altern-8 and a bunch more.)

I bought the new Queens on a whim and was pretty disappointed.
It all sounded like it was wearing a sweater if that makes any sense.

it’s fair to ask if you were, at the time, wearing a sweater.
also, im not a huge fan, but i figured it showed how eclectic the mix is. which is a slight misnomer, as having listened to it, its less of a ‘dirtchamber’ / ‘radio soulwax’ mix and closer to a consistent mix. which isn’t bad.
anyway.
go wear your sweater. or let’s find you more exciting music.

I just remembered liking what I heard a long time ago and it didn’t really sound the same.
And I mean the instruments were wearing sweaters.
I’m not making sense.

…and apparently it’s no longer available for download. =( that Or I’m doing something wrong. Pity, as I was looking forward to the Groove Armada. (Cue ray shakin’ it to his internal mental playlist… “I see you, baby, shakin’ that ass, shakin’ that ass…”)
